A representative of BJ’s could not immediately be reached for comment.

Incidentally, BJ’s currently operates locations in just about every corner of the greater Phoenix region, from Goodyear and Peoria to Mesa and Chandler, but none in the metro area itself.

BJ’s was founded in Santa Ana, California in 1978, and quickly made a name for itself with its signature west coast twist on the classic deep dish pizza. What’s more, the company launched its brewing operation nearly 20 years later, in 1996, which has since gone on to garner more than 200 awards making BJ’s the country’s most decorated restaurant-brewer, according to its website

Although the brand is best known for its pizza – or, arguably, the Pizookie – its menu is a veritable smorgasbord of comfort food favorites that include a Classic Prime Rib Dip, Brewhouse Philly cheesesteak sandwich, Grilled Chicken Alfredo, Chicken Parmigiana, Hickory Brisket and Bacon Burger, New Orleans Jambalaya, and so much more.

As the company writes on its website, “Today we’ve grown to become the energized, welcoming getaway where craft beer is hero. And a remarkable menu offers something for everyone to love. Guests say we’re their everyday escape — and prove it by coming back time and again.”
