Company owner Erick Geryol and his wife, Rochelle, have decided to partner with their friend Ryan Miller, owner of the SaltFire Brewing Company, to transform the Boulders on Broadway space in the second location of SaltFire Brewing Tap House, first reported by Phoenix New Times. New signage has already been placed at the corner of Broadway and Roosevelt, but the company’s social media has shared few details regarding what’s expected to come.

“NEWS FLASH- we are joining forces with SaltFire Brewing Arizona!” according to the recent announcement made on Instagram. “No ownership or staff changes, [and] the Boulders on Broadway crew remains strong as ever. What you can expect is some awesome new beer, a menu update, and a few cosmetic changes.”

While the new partnership will not affect the Geryols’ other two restaurants, Spokeson Southern and Boulders on Southern, nor its current staff, it does allow for growth for Salt Lake Brewing, as the company will ship its beers from Utah while the two companies figure out a way to begin production in the Valley. Salt Lake Brewing offers a variety of beers, ranging from sours and pilsners to stouts and IPAs. It’s unclear which beers will be on tap and what new menu items will be added, but things are moving faster than anticipated.

“I started the signing process a while ago, and it went faster than expected,” Geryol tells MXSW. “The sign went up before we sent out our media packets, so now we’re scrambling to catch up. We still have 30 different flavors of beer on draft and 70 bottles. (It’s) just the core of our beers will be our own SaltFire products. We did some interior improvements, starting during COVID and finishing up some this spring, along with the addition of windows and new landscaping.”
