Mesa’s Bread Brothers Bakery has eyes on a new location. A building permit found in city public records indicates that Bread Brothers Bakery is requesting tenant improvements on a space at 106 E. McKellips Road next to the McKellips Goodwill and just around the corner from their home bakery on Mesa Drive.

The family-owned bakery was founded by John and Sarah Alldredge in 2006. John was inspired to follow the footsteps of his grandmother, Della Johnson, who operated a bakery out of her Utah home in the 1940’s.

Using wheat grown on the family farm, Della’s breads and donuts became such a hit that she began supplying the local grocery store. Fast forward to the present, John continues the family tradition of creating breads and other baked goods using 100-percent all natural wheat grown on the family farm.

Today, Bread Brothers Bakery is popular among locals for their homemade breads, cereals, cinnamon rolls, and more. In a phone call with What Now Phoenix this week, Sarah Alldredge confirmed that they will be relocating to a bigger facility along McKellips Road and will be expanding the menu. Additional details are forthcoming.

Until then, visit breadbrothersbakery.com for more information.
