A new bar called Easy Tiger is coming soon to 4725 W. Olive Ave. by Arizona College’s Glendale campus. Easy Tiger is brought to us by Driftwood Coffee owners Lance Linderman and Luke Bentley, who just received the liquor license for this upcoming project.
In a phone call with What Now Phoenix this week, Linderman was tight-lipped about the details as they’re still developing many aspects of this new venture. He did say that Easy Tiger aims to be “a vintage neighborhood sports bar” that will hopefully open in September.
Linderman also says that there will be some food options to compliment the drink menu. Opening a bar seems like a natural pivot for Linderman and Bentley, who are quite experimental with their espresso offerings at Driftwood in downtown Peoria.
In addition to classic coffee and espresso beverages, the specialty coffee purveyors have come up with buzzy concoctions such as the Zelda Fitzgerald (cocknbull ginger beer, orange bitter simple syrup, espresso, orange peel) and their own version of a Maple Manhattan (crushed up cherries, maple syrup, bitters, Topo Chico , Driftwood Coffee Co. carbonated cold brew).
In 2020, the pair started their Reap & Sow pop-up at The Rebel Lounge, where they had an entire cocktail and beer menu to compliment their espresso offerings. Reap & Sow pulled their last shots at the end of December, but they suggested this wasn’t this wasn’t the end for any new projects.
Given their proven expertise and experience with mixology (espresso and otherwise), we’re excited to see what’s in store at Easy Tiger. A website and social media pages are forthcoming. Stay tuned.
