In a text exchange with What Now Phoenix, owner Manuel Herrera confirmed that El Tataki’s third location is in the works. “This location will be a full size restaurant with full service like our Avondale location,” Herrera says.

This means that in addition to their most unique offerings such as the deep fried Carne Asada Roll (carne asada, tomato, jalapeno, onion, cilantro, cucumber, avocado, cream cheese, orange and eel sauce) or the La Lomita Roll (shrimp tempura, cucumber, avocado, cream cheese, topped with mix of scallops, crab and shrimp, yellow pepper, monterey jack cheese, eel sauce, green onion and sesame seed), we can expect to enjoy El Tataki’s Happy Hour as well in Tempe.

Founded in Glendale in 2014,  El Tataki Sushi Fusion was created to bring together traditional Japanese sushi and Mexican sushi that is popular in the northern regions of Mexico, such as Sinaloa and Sonora. There are now two locations in Avondale and Goodyear. The Tempe restaurant is expected to open by January 2023.
