This time last year, the fast-growing, award-winning restaurant concept announced the signing of a multi-unit franchise agreement with Stine Enterprises to open 75 units in Arizona and North Texas. This franchise agreement deal was the first for Hawaiian Bros Island Grill, which already has locations in Glendale, Phoenix, and Tempe. The group is now searching for restaurant managers for its next site at 236 E Bell Road, according to a recent job listing.

Hawaiian Bros has more than 30 restaurants across the country and transferred ownership of the 11 restaurants in the Dallas- Fort Worth area to the Stines as part of this transaction last year. Stine Enterprises is no stranger to large-scale franchise developments. The company was founded in 1982 by Steve Stine, who was selected as one of the initial Jack in the Box franchisees when the corporate franchising program began. Since then, the company has become a highly successful franchise group, with at least 87 Jack in the Box and 14 Denny’s restaurants. The new location has no exact opening date, but it will move into the former home of Boston Market later this year.

“The agreement with Stine Enterprises sets Hawaiian Bros on a path to expand even more rapidly into key markets while offering franchisees a new restaurant concept with growth potential for years to come,” Grant Kreutzer, Vice President of Franchise Development, said in a press release at the time of the announcement. “We’re really looking forward to working with this team to bolster the Hawaiian Bros brand to new markets.”
