Since opening in 1952, the giant donut in front of the original Inglewood location has become a popular culture staple, appearing in movies, TV shows, and even video games. More than 70 years later, the brand has expanded throughout Southern California, Las Vegas, and parts of the Middle East and Asia. Now, the company is finally getting ready to expand into Arizona for the first time with a new site under franchise owner Brian Padilla, who tells What Now Phoenix that he hopes to open on April 23.
When the new location opens next month, customers can expect handmade donuts at Randy’s, which are never frozen and are made fresh every day. Varieties include the classics – glazed, devil’s food, and chocolate raised, deluxe – crullers, buttermilk and old fashioned, fancy – apple fritter, jelly-filled and cinnamon roll, as well as premium – Nutella, red velvet ganache, and s’mores. Randy’s Donuts also offers delivery, catering, a full-service coffee program, and other beverages, such as boba tea, milkshakes, frozen drinks, and coffee options.
“From our contribution to pop culture to our mission to give back to the community, Randy’s sits in an enviable and unique position in the donut world. We are ecstatic to now launch the franchise opportunity and bring Randy’s to cities across the nation,” Mark Kelegian, President of Randy’s Donuts, said when the company began to franchise. “While gourmet and other local shops have popped up to cash in on donuts’ demand, no one else offers the breadth of 50 varieties of handmade, proprietary choices, catering to cost-conscious and indulgent donut lovers.”
