An area representative with Marco’s Pizza for 11 years, Pina has become one of the brand’s top-performing franchisees. He will start by opening six new stores within the next 18 months and is currently seeking out sites to open the first location in Q3 of this year

“I’ve always wanted to continue to grow with Marco’s because it’s a special brand. The timing was right to pursue the next opportunity – Phoenix was that answer. With only one Marco’s location in the Phoenix DMA, there is an incredible opportunity to build out the market and bring a quality product to the pizza lovers of this community,” Pina tells Restaurant News

There is currently one Marco’s Pizza in Mesa and three in the Tucson area. This development agreement helps Marco’s Pizza meet its overall growth goal of opening 1,500 units by 2023. With these plans in place, Marco’s is poised to become the fourth leading pizza chain in the nation. According to Statista, Marco’s Pizza stood in sixth place as of 2020.
