The Texas-based company already has sites in Chandler, Gilbert, Goodyear, and Tucson and is now getting ready for a fifth state location, according to the company’s website. A representative from Rudy’s tells What Now Phoenix that the new corporate-owned site is still a few months away from opening but hopes to be up and running before the end of the summer. The new Rudy’s will be in a busy area full of restaurant and retail options, just southeast of the Scottsdale airport.

Rudy’s Bar-B-Q has over 40 locations across Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Colorado, and Oklahoma. The company was started in the 1800s by Max Aue and his son, Rudolph, who opened a one-stop gas station, garage, and grocery store in the small community of Leon Springs, according to the company’s website. Bar-B-Q was added to the operation in 1989, and the restaurant has been serving tasty food ever since. The same original recipes that built Rudy’s Leon Springs’ reputation are now found in all restaurants.

When the new location opens, customers can expect delicious barbecue made with 100 percent wood-fired oak. Some meat options from this restaurant include brisket, sausage links, pork ribs, chicken, prime rib, and more. There will also be a handful of sandwiches, breakfast tacos, sides, and desserts. For those who enjoy the taste so much they want to take it home with them, the country store offers all of the restaurant’s sauces and other gifts like candles and gift cards.
