The company recently opened its seventh location at 19975 N. John Wayne Pkwy., Ste. 110, the former home of Dell’s Pizza, near the northeast corner of Highway 347 and Honeycutt Road in Maricopa, according to In Maricopa. This is just the beginning for Vero Chicago Pizza, which is also planning another location in front of the Whole Foods Market near the corner of the Loop 101 and Ray, according to the company’s website. This location is expected to open by year-end.
“Maricopa is a growing city where it seems like more and more restaurants keep moving down there,” Director of Operations Alex Mejia tells In Maricopa. “We wanted to be part of that experience and see how Maricopa treats Vero.”
The news of the expansion comes from an incredible last year when the company was voted the Best Deep Dish Pizza in Phoenix by the New Phoenix Times and Chosen as the Best Chicago Pizza place in all of Arizona by the Washington Post. Amidst these accolades, Vero also grew to six throughout the East Valley, including their first corporate location, which includes training facilities for the franchise. So far, in 2024, Vero has gained more recognition and was ranked 3rd best Chicago Style Pizza place by Yelp nationwide.
While Vero Chicago Pizza just recently opened its first takeout and delivery location in Maricopa, the company has also recently added a dine-in service to its location on the southeast corner of Alma School and Baseline in West Mesa. Before this, Vero Chicago Pizza operated that corporate flagship site as a takeout-only location. It’s unclear what other changes the company has planned for the future, but more locations and delicious pizza are definitely on the menu.
