The restaurant debuted in early 2022, replacing El Autentico 1010 on the southeast corner of McKellips and Alta Mesa in northeast Mesa. After two successful years, the company appears ready to grow. Late last month, Zona Cantina + Cocina posted an ad on Craigslist searching for a new Kitchen Manager. The ad mentioned the company was opening a new location. A representative from the company confirmed with What Now Phoenix that they are currently scouting sites to expand to a second location.

It’s unclear where the company is searching for its second site, but it appears to be within the greater Phoenix area. When this new location opens, customers can expect a delightful Happy Hour experience, weekly specials curated by the company’s talented chefs that showcase the freshest ingredients and innovative flavors, and a selection of desserts that redefine the meaning of a sweet finale. Each dessert is a symphony of flavors crafted with precision and passion to conclude your dining experience perfectly. Whether you’re looking for a casual meal with friends, a family celebration, or a romantic dinner, their attentive staff ensures every moment is filled with culinary delight and hospitality.

“At Zona Cantina + Cocina, our chefs artfully blend traditional Mexican recipes with a modern twist, creating a menu that caters to diverse palates,” according to the company’s website. “From sizzling fajitas to our signature tacos, each dish is a symphony of fresh, high-quality ingredients that capture the essence of authentic Mexican flavors. Step into our welcoming space adorned with vibrant decor, reflecting the lively colors of Mexico.”
