A new Robeks location is planned for 2320 E. Baseline Road in Phoenix by South Mountain Community College, according to a building permit found in city public records. The 952 square-foot juice bar is seeing major tenant improvements, including new lighting, floor, and wall finishes.
With all that is to be done with the space, owners Mario Valencia and Randy Ritchie tell What Now Phoenix that they hope to open this spring. “This is our first franchise and we’re excited to be a part of the Robeks family. As parents we try to look for healthy options to feed our kids that will also keep them happy. Robeks is the best of both worlds,” they say.
They are both long-time loyal Robeks customers. Ritchie’s favorite smoothie is the Hero’s Garden, a blend of Fresh Spinach, Matcha Green Tea, Pineapple, Mango, Banana, Spirulina, Flax Seeds, Apple Juice. He likes to add ginger for an extra boost.
Valencia’s go-to is the Super Green, a Wellness Smoothie that includes Matcha Green Tea, Fresh Spinach, Pineapple, and Immunity Multi-Vitamins. “I never feel guilty when I have Robeks because everything is packed with nutrients but it also tastes delicious. When you eat good, you feel good,” he says.
Another influence in opening this Robeks location was the desire to get involved and give back to the community. As a disabled Air Force Veteran, Valencia has firsthand experience with the difficulties of adapting back into civilian life after returning from deployment. He intends to reach out to the local disabled Veteran community to offer employment for those who are seeking.
