Soon to join its neighbors in Chandler and Goodyear, will be a Glendale location of Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen. A liquor license application filed with the State of Arizona indicates the popular national brand will open a brick-and-mortar at 8172 W. Bell Road in Glendale, where it will take over the space that recently housed Pacific Seafood and Buffet. This will be the brand’s fourth restaurant in Arizona.

Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen was established in Irving, TX in 1979. Now, you can find Cheddar’s (did you know the name was proposed by a fifth grader??) in 28 states. The made-from-scratch restaurant is known for its comfort bites like Chicken Pot Pie, Fried Chicken Tenders, and In-house Smoked BBQ Ribs. Appetizers like Cheddar’s Cheese Fries, Honey Butter Croissants, and Coconut Shrimp are nothing to sneer at either.

Cheddar’s is a division of Darden Restaurants, the hospitality group behind other family restaurants like Olive Garden, Longhorn Steakhouse, and Eddie V’s Prime Seafood. The group operates over 1,800 brick-and-mortar restaurants in the U.S.

We were unable to reach Cheddar’s Senior VP of Operations Jose Laboy at the time of publication, so the opening timeline for Glendale’s newest scratch kitchen currently remains unclear. You can catch a glimpse of the comfort food headed soon to your neighborhood by clicking here.
