Owner Kirsten Steele originally opened the breakfast restaurant on the northwest corner of 44th Street and Camelback but was forced to relocate when plans for The Grove mixed-use development surfaced, according to Business Journal. She then moved Chestnut to The Vintage on 44th Street and Osborn Road in 2021 but knew she wasn’t going to stay there. Now she will open the restaurant in a 3,500-square-foot space that was the former home of Over Easy near the corner of 24th Street and Camelback Road.

The restaurant is expected to open sometime in October 2023. When it does, customers can expect a dining area, bar, and lounge area, where customers can hang out from 7 am to 7 pm and enjoy breakfast, lunch, dinner, coffee, or cocktails. Some special menu items on the menu include shrimp ceviche, huevos avocado, and bacon popcorn. Chestnut will join Press Coffee in The Biltmore Center.

“I could not be more excited about our evolution and this incredible opportunity to plant our home-grown roots now a few miles up the road in the Biltmore,” Steele tells the Business Journal. “Getting to additionally be able to serve the neighboring area of residents along with the vibrant and large corporate community, and equally having the opportunity to provide more jobs and give back was an opportunity I just couldn’t pass up.”
