The new $125 million development will also feature a flagship two-story Starbucks, a five-story Residence Inn by Marriott, a Homewood Suites Hotel, and the regional headquarters for Bell Bank, according to KTAR News. There will also be space for retail, office, and restaurants, including a new 7-Eleven and Nautical Bowls. Construction, led by Diversified Partners, is set to begin next week on the 11-acre project. This development has no exact opening date, but considering the size, it could be late 2023, possibly early next year.

The newest location will be near Val Vista Drive and the Loop 202 Santan Freeway. Chipotle already has countless locations throughout Arizona, including at least four in the Gilbert area. It’s unclear if this new site will feature a Chipotlane, the company’s newest concept that favors mobile and to-go orders through a drive-through lane. Chipotle is currently working on two new locations in Tucson, both featuring the new Chipotlane drive-throughs.

The first Tucson site will be 2,325-square-foot at Broadway and Craycroft Road, next to the new Starbucks, near Petco. On the other hand, the 2,325-square-foot Grant Road location will be within the Crossroads Festival at the intersection of Swan Road. Both sites are expected to open sometime in Summer 2023. Chipotle launched this concept in October 2021, and the company has since opened more than 500 of these locations throughout the country. This year Chipotle plans to open between 255 to 285 new restaurants, with at least 80% including a Chipotlane, according to a press release.
