First & Last is currently in the liquor licensing phase. Co-owners Ashley and Robert Hammond filed the application with the State of Arizona at the end of last month. According to the application, the site is currently undergoing renovations. These are estimated to be complete by November 1st.

Plans attached to the application show the ground floor at 1001 N 3rd Ave is 2,000 square-feet and will house dining space, a bar, the kitchen, and bathrooms. The basement level will also house a bar and 380 square-feet of seating space.

First & Last will share a building with Lola Coffee, Pita Jungle Downtown Phoenix, The Painters Lounge, and Elevate Yoga and Fitness. It appears to be taking over the space that last housed Rott n’ Grapes RoRo. An opening date had not been announced at the time of publication.
