A recent Instagram post by @gilbertnow confirmed the upcoming location, labeling it a “premiere cornhole venue with a bar.”

The owners, Todd Kisicki and Nic Feinstein, are no strangers to the cornhole game — a lawn game where players take turns throwing 16 ounce bags of corn kernels at a raised platform on the opposite side.

Kisicki is the owner and operator of KB Kornhole Games, which also has a new location coming at the beginning of 2022. The competitive cornhole spot partners with local businesses and allows for customizable private events.

Kisicki, according to the KB Kornhole website, left his career in education back in 2016 to develop and grow the sport of cornhole first locally, but now nationally. He’s also a National Director with the American Cornhole League and oversees almost 200 directors nationwide.

The ultimate goal of Kisicki, along with his wife and Feinstein, is to “bring people together one cornhole game at a time.”

What Now Phoenix briefly touched base with both Feinstein and Kisicki, who said that construction was going well and that, while no official opening date for Hole 9 has been set, they’re hoping for a fall opening.
