Pelican Food Concepts, a Tucson-based franchisee of Mountain Mike’s Pizza, is currently scouting locations in and around Phoenix for its third area restaurant, according to managing partner Donte Andry, who says the group is planning to open 35 locations across the state.
To date, Pelican operates Mountain Mike’s outposts in Chandler and Mesa, with one open and another under construction in Tucson.
In a statement announcing the Chandler opening in April 2022, Andry said, “After the warm welcome we received when we opened our first Arizona location in Mesa earlier this year, we are excited to be expanding into the greater Phoenix area with our new Chandler location We can’t wait to see this new location become a place where the Chandler community can gather to celebrate life’s most memorable occasions while enjoying America’s favorite food…pizza.”
