The Stillery, a Nashville-based restaurant, bar, and live music venue, recently signed a lease for Goodyear’s newest lifestyle hub dubbed Goodyear Civic Square – aka GSQ – located at 1900 N Civic Sq, with plans to open winter 2023, according to co-founder and managing partner, Steve Sargent.

“We’re excited to go to Goodyear,” Sargent tells What Now Phoenix. “We’ve been looking at this site for well over a year, so we’re happy to see it come to fruition, and I think we’re going to bring something out that way that people are going to like. Our store in Chandler and our store in north Phoenix just crush it – we’re definitely something unique.”

It’s precisely that unique edge that landed The Stillery at GSQ in the first place, as retail leasing broker Chuck Wells told the Phoenix Business Journal last week, “We’re never going to do a deal in there with Chili’s, it’s going to be mostly local unique concepts that have a following, and bring some excitement to the dining out there.”

The Stillery was founded by Sargent, along with Steve Kovach and James Sampley in 2015, and entered the Arizona market with its Chandler outpost in 2020, followed by North Phoenix in 2021

The brand has since become synonymous with wood-fired pizzas, stacked burgers, craft cocktails, and not only local beer but also local musicians – including special guests flown in from Nashville – who take to The Stillery stage every night after 9pm.
