Turquoise Wine Bar is a women-owned business brought to us by Jen Sinconis and Laura Hernandez, who recently applied for an ABC license with the state of Arizona. Permitting is underway for construction to begin in a few weeks in anticipation of a grand opening in mid-summer

Sinconis moved to Phoenix from Seattle two years ago. Having grown up in Washington wine country, she sought out places to enjoy quality wines in the Valley. “There aren’t too many great opportunities to explore and experience wine in Arizona,” Sinconis told What Now Phoenix in a phone call.

“I want to share our passion for wine and help people cultivate their own personal wine journey in an approachable way. Whether you’re looking for a wine tasting experience or a romantic date night, shopping for your weekly wine order or preparing for the party of the year, Turquoise is always the answer.”

Turquoise Wine Bar will feature a vast selection of bottles from all over the world. They’ve sourced wines from different countries, as well as domestic wines from along the west coast. Of course, local Arizona wineries such as Pillsbury Wine Company, Bodega Pierce, and LDV Winery are on the roster also.

The 1,200 square-foot space will feature both sit-down and standing tables, plus a bar. They will serve wine flights and wine by the glass, plus ciders, beer and spritzers if you’re in the mood for something different. There will also be charcuterie, dessert boards, Sunday brunch boards and wine pairing snacks, so customers will have something to munch on while exploring various pours.

Future regulars might be interested in joining Club Turquoise, a membership program that offers two bottles per month, plus access to events such as catered dinners and educational talks with different winery owners.
