Anthony Spinato, CEO and co-owner of Spinato’s Pizzeria & Family Kitchen, said in a statement that the decision to expand to Gilbert was an easy one, once he learned about Epicenter at Agritopia.

A locally owned business, Spinato’s has been serving Valley residents for 49 years. Best known for its classic Chicago-style pizza with a sweet sauce, the restaurant also features a diverse menu, with everything from pizza and sandwiches, pastas and spaghetti-stuffed calzones to gluten-free and vegan options, fresh signature salads and Spinato’s home-made Italian desserts.

The Gilbert restaurant features 4,650 square feet inside, and an outdoor patio that seats 76, both at tables and in a lounge area. The restaurant can also accommodate large parties both inside and outside. In addition, Epicenter residents ordering take-out can pick up their food from a private area within the restaurant. Delivery options are also available, both through Spinato’s and Door Dash.

The restaurant’s design features garage doors and walls that open to allow for fresh air. A large, full bar provides seating for 24 guests both inside and outside and three large TVs that are visible from the bar.

“With each new restaurant, we strive to fit the demographics of the patrons we will be serving. While some elements may connect to another Spinato’s location, we want every restaurant to be something you may not expect from a pizzeria,” Spinato said in a statement. “We’re committed to providing an exceptional experience, so our ambiance must stand alongside the level of guest service, cleanliness and quality of food we provide.”

The Spinato family will also introduce a new vegan pizza option at the Gilbert restaurant when it opens. Earlier this year, Spinato’s introduced a new gluten-free cauliflower crust option for all pizzas except any that are made with meatballs.

The new Vegan Pizza, first available at the Gilbert restaurant, is available on Spinato’s regular crust at any size as a build your own option, and also on their gluten-free crust which is also vegan friendly, but it is only available as a 10” and starts at $15.50 (also a build your own option).

Spinato’s is also rolling out a new Buffalo Chicken Pizza on May 2 at all six locations that will be available through June 30. The pizza features a medium buffalo sauce base, house-grilled chicken, red onion, chive, mozzarella, gorgonzola, ranch and medium buffalo sauce drizzle. Prices for Spinato’s Buffalo Chicken Pizza are: Personal $11.60, Small $17.60, Medium $23.50, Large $29.50, and Gluten-free $17.

“We’ve been so humbled by how the Gilbert community has embraced news about our new restaurant,” Spinato said. “We honestly did not expect so much passion, and it has validated our choice to expand there. We are excited to become integrated into their community and support local causes as community is one of our four core values.”
