Like so many popular restaurants nowadays, Torchy’s began as a humble food truck in Austin, TX in 2006. The brand’s snarky yet playful identity – not to mention its mouthwatering tacos and decadent queso – was a hit with locals both in the city and beyond, such that its footprint has since grown to more than 100 stores across the country, including four peppered throughout the Phoenix region.

That success and growth are largely down to the company’s “Damn Good” mantra, which keeps it “constantly innovating to ensure we’re delivering the tastiest tacos, queso, and margaritas in the game.”

Some of those innovative tacos include the Trailer Park featuring fried chicken, green chiles, lettuce, pico de Gallo, cheddar jack cheese, and poblano sauce, the plant-based Mofaux with cowboy-style Beyond beef, green chiles, grilled corn, peppadew peppers, avocado, cilantro, and diablo sauce, and the Crossroads, made with smoked beef brisket, grilled onions, jalapeños, cilantro, avocado, jack cheese, and a drizzling of tomatillo sauce.

Meanwhile, Torchy’s also features a Taco of the Month, which is currently The Piledriver, a flour tortilla topped with poblano slaw, trailer tender, pickled onions, cotija, chipotle, and BBB marmalade.
