Just yesterday, Huss Brewing announced progress on their newest venture: a tasting room and restaurant in the heart of downtown Phoenix. Captioning their Instagram announcement, the brewery wrote, “We’re so excited to finally be able to announce that our all-new craft beer taproom, full-service restaurant and dedicated to-go counter coming to the [convention center] in downtown Phoenix… Is FINALLY under construction!!”

Huss Brewing is only eight years old and has grown rapidly since its debut on the AZ craft beer scene in 2013. The company, family-owned by husband-and-wife Jeff and Leah Huss, has become one of the state’s largest independent brewers.

Due to the pandemic, Huss Downtown was delayed about a year and a half. “We’re excited about being part of the revitalization of Downtown PHX. During the Pandemic when so many people switched to work from home and the events and concerts dried up – it was devastating to small independent restaurants and bars. The fact that the energy and excitement are back is great,” Director of Sales and Marketing Chip Mulala told What Now Phoenix.

Huss Downtown will offer patrons an indoor-outdoor space carved into the north façade on Monroe St and will feature, in addition to the tasting room and full-service restaurant, a Quick Service TOGO Counter that Huss Brewing hopes will cater to local pedestrian traffic, concert and event-goers, and college students, among others.

The restaurant’s menu will feature AZ-sourced ingredients paired with your favorite Huss brews. “We’ve got an eclectic menu that includes updated takes on pub classics, a Midwestern style Fish ‘n Chips, our popular Almost Famous Nachos, [and] a bunch of new shareable dishes as well as a killer burger,” Mulala says.

The brewery will be located in the north façade of Phoenix’s Convention Center. Mulala added,”We have a target opening date of October/ November 2021 fingers crossed!”
